Therefore, in order to protect the nozzle tube of the water jet, we should try to choose garnet abrasive with uniform particle size, clean and dust-free.

At present, the more common models of the inner diameter of the water jet nozzles are 0.76mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, etc., and the corresponding mesh number of garnet abrasive is also different. The commonly used ones are 60 #, 80 #, 120 #. The larger the mesh number, the smaller the particle size will be.

How to match the two? Usually, the smaller the inner diameter of the water jet nozzle, the larger the garnet abrasive model you choose; vice versa. In addition to determining the model, we should also learn to judge its quality when choosing garnet abrasive for water jet.

In terms of color, pomegranate sand abrasive itself is purple red or brown red. If green, gray white and black substances are found, they are impurities. The amount of impurities means the purity of pomegranate abrasive. Or judge the quality directly through water washing. If it turns a little white after water washing, it indicates that the garnet has low mud content and has water washing skills. If the water solution is gray, it indicates that the mud content is slightly high and the washing skill is not very thorough. If the aqueous solution is yellowish or very dirty, it indicates that garnet abrasive has no water washing ability at all.
